Matcha sourcing for cafes, coffee chains and latte menus
Find a matcha supplier in Japan for your cafe
Tell us how you use matcha on your menu. We ask producers in Japan in Japanese whether they can supply cafe and latte matcha to your country, and introduce you to the ones that fit. Free for buyers.
What to tell us about your cafe matcha
A short message is enough. Anything you leave out, we ask you later.
- How you use it
- Lattes, iced drinks, desserts, or matcha served on its own. The use decides which grade producers suggest.
- What you want in the cup
- For example a colour that stays green in milk, or a milder taste. Plain words are fine.
- Volume and how often
- Roughly how much you use per month and how often you would order.
- Packing
- Bulk bags for your stores, or smaller packs.
- Destination and certifications
- The country you import into, and any certification your market needs, such as organic.
What we check with producers
We ask in Japanese and report back in English, saying clearly what we confirmed and what we could not.
- Whether they export cafe or latte matcha to your country
- Price range for the volume you told us
- Minimum order and pack sizes
- Whether samples are available, and on what terms
- Lead time and how they usually ship, for example EXW or FOB
How it works
After the introduction, you and the producer trade directly: terms, payment and shipping.

You tell us what you need
The matcha grade or use, volume, destination country and any certifications. A short message is enough.

We check with matcha producers in Japanese
Whether they export, price range, minimum order, samples and lead time. We report back in English and say clearly what we confirmed and what we could not.

We introduce you
You discuss terms and order directly with the producer. If something later needs to be said in Japanese, we can still help.
Questions buyers ask
- What matcha grade do cafes use for lattes?
- Cafes often use a grade made for mixing with milk, called cafe, latte or culinary grade. Names differ between producers, so tell us how you use it and we ask producers which of their grades fits.
- Can I try samples before ordering?
- We ask each producer whether samples are available and on what terms, and tell you before the introduction.
- We are a small cafe. Can you still help?
- Yes. Tell us your volume. Minimum orders differ between producers, so we ask and tell you which ones can supply that amount.
- Do I pay anything?
- No. Producers pay a referral fee when an introduction leads to business. There is no charge for your request.
