What this service is

Japan Matcha Desk, operated by ChapterSun LLC, finds matcha producers in Japan that may fit a buyer's request, asks them about it in Japanese, reports their answers, and introduces the buyer and the producer.

Fees

• Buyers do not pay us for an introduction.
• Producers pay a referral fee only when an introduction leads to business. The fee is agreed in writing with each producer before we introduce them.
• Other work, such as research in Japan or ongoing support, is quoted in writing before we start.

Our role

We introduce buyers and producers. We are not an agent of either side.

Your contract is with the producer

We do not hold stock and we are not a party to any contract between a buyer and a producer. Price, payment, shipping, quality and claims are agreed between the buyer and the producer.

What we do not guarantee

We report what producers tell us and say what we could not confirm. We do not guarantee that a producer replies, or their timing, terms, availability or product quality.

Limits of our responsibility

We are not responsible for losses that arise from dealings between a buyer and a producer. Except where we act intentionally or with gross negligence, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses.

Your information

We handle the information you send us as described in our privacy policy.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we update this page and the date at the top. The terms in effect when you send a request apply to that request.

Language

These terms are also available in Japanese. The English version applies to buyers and the Japanese version to producers.

Law and courts

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. The Fukuoka District Court has exclusive jurisdiction in the first instance over any dispute about them.
